Hello and Happy New Year!!
One of my goals this year is to get on this blogging thing! Here’s to starting anew and sticking to it.
I’ve volunteered at Animal House Rescue & Grooming here in Fort Collins for around 5 years…walking dogs, helping with the foster care binder, photographing events, and my very favorite…photographing the dogs available for adoption!
I got to hang with a lovely lady named Lucy today. She is such a character and full of energy. She’d make an awesome companion for an active person looking for their forever friend! She gave me a few smiles in between snow runs, finding sticks and making new dog friends.
See more info on her here: http://animalhousehelp.org/adoptabledogs.php
It has been a while!
I’ve been getting even more into pet photography as well as newborn photography and I’m loving it! I feel so much more at ease with animals than I do humans, I do have to admit. Although I guess we are all animals!
I’m very excited that spring is here (although it is supposed to snow again this weekend) and for the photo season to pick up…please do let me know if you are in need of a human or pet portrait shoot or know of a friend who is!
In the meantime, I will keep shooting, practicing, growing, loving and learning! xoxo
One happy girl here!
I’m a part of RAW Denver, an underground art scene that exists in every major city. Every October, people vote for the top 5 in each category, mine of course being photography. Then a panel of judges choose the top 3, who then show at the December Showcase. At the end of the night the #1 in their category is announced. This person goes on to show in LA!
SO, I made it to the top 3!!! I am showing at the RAWards December Showcase and am pretty darn excited about it! What an honor!
If you are local to Colorado, please come December 5th…RAW shows are always such a fun party full of art, performances, music and fun! See the flyer here >
You can get tickets here! http://www.rawartists.org/denver/rawards2013
Please be patient with me while I get this blog going, there will be lots coming soon!
For now, here is a pretty picture:
